Middle Fork, the Ride
Idaho's Middle Fork of the Salmon rips down 105 miles of roadless relatively untouched land. It is rugged and exquisite. And, its reputation for big white water rafting is no exaggeration. Depending of the time of year, one can choose constant big bumps or more amicable white water rapids that never fail to thrill. The reason the Middle Fork of the Salmon has such dependable and often challenging white water is the drop in altitude from the put-in point to its confluence with the Main Salmon. One hundred miles of rapids with a few eddies thrown in for a brief break. Idaho's Middle Fork of the Salmon has been run for decades with something for every ability and age.
Limited access, reserved campsites, and no motors combine to give the river and the wilderness a chance to endure. Rocky Mountain River Tours is a licensed, bonded outfitter. Our guides are licensed with years of white water rafting experience. You may choose to run the rapids in an oared raft, crew a paddle boat or finesse the white water solo in an inflatable kayak.
